movin' & backyard view

We have moved from our beautiful place out in Puerto Sherry onto the military base.  We made the move for a variety of reasons.  The biggest reasons were to be closer to Trent's work and for the extra space.  The view from the back yard isn't bad either!

I'm sad to have left our adorable place in town, but I think this will be better for us in the long run.  Trent is very happy and the kids have tons of friends to play with in the neighborhood.  Sometimes you have to take one for the team, and it's my turn. 

I will say that the view is incredible and I feel lucky and blessed to be able to see the ocean everyday.  I really have grown to love it.  Especially the breeze and smell of salty air, love it!  Oh, and I no longer have to hang my laundry to dry or go to the laundromat in the winter...heaven!

Ode to Yellow

Dear Yellow, 

        I don't know who decided to name you yellow, maybe it was Adam, maybe not, but they were spot on.  You make me happy.  Whenever I see you, I smile.  I find myself drawn to your many shades.  You are a lovely, integral part of nature and our world would be lacking without you.

Sevilla date night

We drove up to Sevilla with Andy & Judy for a date night.  Judy studied at the university of sevilla, so we met up with a few of her college friends.  We enjoyed a lovely, but hot (110 degrees), night walking around town, enjoying beautiful scenery, yummy tapas and good company!

The kids had a program for the parents to celebrate the school year.  It was fun to see the kids with their classmates.  It didn't start until 8pm.  We left as soon as all 3 of our kids performed, but the party was just getting started....and lasted until past midnight.
