- Women's conference. I hope some of you LDS women listened yesterday b/c it was really wonderful.
- Visiting friends. Our friends from medical school, Derek and Emily Ellingson were in San Diego for a conference this past week and I was able to spend a little time with them. It's was so much better to catch up in person. Emily and I didn't stop talking the whole time we were together. Thanks for visiting!!
- Birthdays. I have to say one more time, thank you to Trent for a great 30th birthday...and pie!
- High 5's. This is Carley's latest trick. We are constantly asking her to give high 5's. Every time she gets really excited, smiles and then slaps your outstretched hand. Very cute!
- Good books. I'm reading the 3rd Eragon book, Brisinger. It's pretty good so far.
With 5 people coexisting under 1 roof, you can imagine the pandemonium that erupts from time to time. This is the story of the day to day activities that make up life for the Price Family!

- Primary programs at church. We didn't have any huge "mishaps", but it's always an entertaining Sunday when the primary children are involved. I love hearing their sweet singing voices, the spirit was so strong, it was really wonderful.
- Good friends. I was able to visit with Carol Springer today and it was so nice. The kids were sooo good and allowed us to just catch up and chit chat. It was a fun day and I really enjoyed myself.
- Carley's squeals. Luke has a way with Carley. He just creeps up on her and when she spies him coming she just squeals with absolute delight. She doesn't squeal that way for anyone but him, and of course he loves this. It's really an endearing interaction that goes on in between them, so cute.
- Family movie night. Usually every Friday we have "family movie night" with popcorn and smoothies/malts, but we've been doing other things the past few weekends and haven't done them...i miss them. We're definitely bringing them back.
- Yummy food. The weather is starting to change, so it's time to change up the menu. Out with summer foods in with fall favorites...soup, squashes, mashed potatoes, turkey, chili, pumpkin anything...uuummmm!

- primary songs, nothing invites the spirit into a room quicker than a group of primary children singing "I Am A Child of God".
- sugar, it's been one of those weeks.
- that feel good, satisfaction, feeling....Luke did his first real job for my neighbor (watered her lawn and flowers while she was away for the past 2 1/2 weeks) and she paid him. it was so fun to watch his face light up when she gave him some money and thanked him for a job well done. i was also impressed at how well he did the job. i didn't even have to nag him to go and take care of her yard, so nice.
- play groups. i've been meeting with a group of ladies at a park after school lets out on wednesdays and it's been soooo nice. it's seems like forever since i've been to a playgroup where the kids all play and the moms get to sit around and chit chat, lovely.
- birthdays. today is emry's birthday and it's been so fun. every time anyone says happy birthday to her she just gets this shy little smile that slowly spreads across her face. adorable.

I don't have much to say today, but our week has been pretty darn good.
- Carley has been walking more than crawling this week and in fact isn't really crawling at all anymore, so I can officially say that she's walking! Yipee!
- My sister, Maggie, has been visiting with us all week! It's been nice to have her here. We're really sad that she's moving away, but excited for her to begin her PhD program!!
- Dryer's French Silk Ice Cream
- The school bus...it's so nice not to have to pack all 3 kids up to drop Luke off every morning at school.
- Little girls...see previous twirly skirt post...they haven't taken them off all weekend, sooo cute! Every time they walk past me I can't help but smile.

- the pitter patter of little bare feet, running around the house...this is one of my favorite sounds. i don't know what it is about that sound, but i like it. maybe it's the fact that my kids think they're being soooo sneaky when in fact i'd heard them coming from a mile away???
- sacrament meeting without kids. i don't mean for this to sound bad, but emry was sick today and my sister maggie is visiting so she stayed home with her today and as if that wasn't nice enough, she offered to keep carley too! so trent, luke and i set off for church without the girls. let me tell you how wonderful sacrament mtg. was. the speakers both talked about being good examples and the importance of obedience to the commandments.
- dessert. we've been having some delicious desserts around here lately and all i can say is uummmmmm uummmm uummmmm!
- the excitement of the first day of school. luke's first day of 1st grade is tomorrow and the anticipation and excitement of it have filled the air. the neighborhood is all a buzz with kids talking about it. And if that wasn't enough, they all found out who their teachers are going to be on friday...very exciting.
- i love my pink fig soap. i get it at TJMAXX (sometimes), they don't always have it, so when i'm lucky enough to find it i buy as many bottles as they have. which is never very many. anyway, i'm on my last bottle and i'm going to miss the way it smells...i wish i knew the brand name, but the label doesn't have any information, so sad. until next time my love!

- the olympics. i have to say the women's all around gymnastics meet was more exciting than it's been in a long time. i loved that the top ladies were at their best and of course it was great to see the americans (nastia leukin and shawn johnson) come out on top! we've also been loving michael phelps...WOW!
- the last official week of summer. this is the first time i've had a child going "back to school" and i am so excited and ready for school to start. we're planning on having a mommy school marathon this coming week, so fun!
- 1st birthdays...i just love to celebrate the first birthday so much. it's such a huge milestone to both the baby and the parents. it was just a tiny bit bittersweet for me since we won't be having any more babies, but it was a great day for Carley.
- photography. i just finished my first photography class and absolutely loved it. i'm planning on enrolling in the local community college to take a few more courses. i don't know what kind of hobby it will become, but i am really enjoying myself.
- date night.

Our house has been a disaster from one end to the other since we arrived home and unloaded our van from vacation. We have all experienced our own moments of struggle as we try to get back into the swing of normal life. Trent's had extra time off this last week so we have been spending as much time as possible together and out side playing...leaving our house to fend for itself. The goal this coming week is to get back on schedule and back to normal, but here is what I'm thankful for tonight:
- a happy baby - Carley has continued to be a happy smiling girl. I think it's safe to say she's done with the colic thing!
- Trent - tomorrow is our anniversary, 8 years, and we couldn't be happier.
- hobbies - i signed up for a photography class a few weeks ago and was able to go this past week. i have been loving it and got to shoot my first triathlon this past saturday. it was so exciting.
- the Olympics - i just love watching the athletes and the opening ceremonies were fantastic!
- my home - as fun and wonderful as it is to see family, traveling is always tiresome and i'm thankful to be home.
