Venice with Grandma & the Kids - Day 2

This morning I snuck out for an early morning stroll to take pictures and enjoy the city before the tourists arrive...oh wait, I am a tourist!  So put on your walking shoes and lets go...

I was enjoying my walk just fine and was headed back to our apartment when I came into this plaza...AGAIN!  Uh oh, I was turned around!  It took me a few times to figure out how to get out of this neighborhood, but the bright side was I found a lot of interesting things to take photos of!

Finally made it home and the troops were famished!  So out we went...pastries and hot chocolate were on the menu.

Luke had fun wandering through the Ferrari store

We got a little snack at the market.

Carley bought a mask, and wore it the rest of the day.  She was very cute.  This is supposed to be one of the oldest mask making shops in Venice, so our mask is extra special.

We decided to "get lost" in the Cannaregio neighborhood and each kid took a turn being the leader.  They were very excited.  And I wish we could have done this more because we found so many neat nooks and crannies that we'd have missed otherwise.

this store had chocolate pasta for sale

The kids and I went up the Tower for a look see!

Grandma is scared of heights and stayed in St Marks square where she had a drink at the Florian while being serenaded by classical music...she was in heaven!
