5 favorite things...august,17 2008

  • the olympics. i have to say the women's all around gymnastics meet was more exciting than it's been in a long time. i loved that the top ladies were at their best and of course it was great to see the americans (nastia leukin and shawn johnson) come out on top! we've also been loving michael phelps...WOW!
  • the last official week of summer. this is the first time i've had a child going "back to school" and i am so excited and ready for school to start. we're planning on having a mommy school marathon this coming week, so fun!
  • 1st birthdays...i just love to celebrate the first birthday so much. it's such a huge milestone to both the baby and the parents. it was just a tiny bit bittersweet for me since we won't be having any more babies, but it was a great day for Carley.
  • photography. i just finished my first photography class and absolutely loved it. i'm planning on enrolling in the local community college to take a few more courses. i don't know what kind of hobby it will become, but i am really enjoying myself.
  • date night.

I can't believe Carley is already a year old! Happy Birthday Carley! The party looks awesome Millie. Cutie pie cake! Did you make the suckers too? Wow! Owen's birthday is coming up and I don't even know what to do. Owen keeps telling me that he wants water balloons, but we will see about that...

Millie, I just scrolled down on your blog and read the cute things your kids have been saying. That is really hilarious. We can definitely relate with Emry not knowing her dad. Ephraim has been selling fruit on his week off, so the kids did not see much of him this summer. I pulled up to the fruit stand the other day with Owen. Owen looked out the window and started to shout, "Look Mom! I do have a Dad! I do!"

The Cronicles of Tapa...the cat.

OK Cat lovers of the world explain this....we're going on vacation and wanted to board our cat, but they wouldn't take her unles...
