We have a tv/dvd player that lives in Luke's room so the kids can all congregate there and watch movies and the adults can be undisturbed in the living room. She's been getting into Luke's things and destroying his legos lately so she was already on thin ice...I was too for letting her in there when he was at school. I had to work a 2 hr shift and she'd gotten up early from her nap so I stuck her in there to watch a movie so I could finish up my work. Well, this is what she did.

She took all the little color parts out of the markers and put them in a pile on Luke's bed sheets, which off course bled onto them, they are ruined...permanent stain. Also, unlike the other day when she colored on herself with WASHABLE markers...this time we weren't so lucky. After much vigorous washing, her lips, teeth, tongue and hands are still black!
So she was back on TIME OUT! Luke was very forgiving of us and even offered to play with her on the trampoline after she apologized to him. However, she has since been banished from his room. We even put a baby lock on his doorknob so she can't get in. Now all I have to do is find every stray marker in the house and banish them to the highest shelf in the deepest darkest cupboard!!!

Wow Millie! It took me a while to catch up on your "going's on" but it was worth it! Very cool. Awesome pics. My favorites are the ones of you and Trent at the beach! You guys look so cute- just glowing with happiness. :) I had a blast at Bunco last night. I'm so glad you were able to make it!!
Wow Carley...there are no words! Good idea banishing the markers, she seems to be "in a phase"! :)
YIKES! I would have totally lost it. But then again, I was laughing my head off when I read this post!
How naughty!!! I'm just glad to hear that mine aren't the only super naughty ones around. :)
I'm sure we never did stuff like this to our parents, right?
Gotta love it!
Oh my!! There was a time when the markers were banished at our house also! Is the color gone from her lips yet?
My kids keep looking at this picture of Carley. They think she is trying to be a scary monster. Daisy keeps saying, "Mama, I'm not scared."
I'm just glad it's not just my kids who destroy bedding with permanent markers! Argh!!!
my poor Carley!!! Oil is good for getting unwanted things off of the body--it's gross that the skin absorbs 80% of what's put on it. Natural remedies: put slices of lemon in her water for a week to 10 days to cleanse her inside; next, use pure oil (olive, coconut, sesame) to rub her face and hands to release the stain without hurting her skin. Taking her to the beach for a day to play hard in the waves and sand (exfoliation) is also an excellent idea.
I Love Carley!!! :)
BIG SMOKE TROUBLE...love it! Might have to adopt that phrase. I have a picture of Mags that reminds me of this...only it was all of her arms AND legs...in blue and green. Think Avatar, but more clothes. Makes me smile today...didn't when it happened though. Good times!
Carly look at her face. I am dying..laughing. This photo is a keeper.
BTW glad it's your trouble and I seem to be having a week off from trouble!!
Hang in there Mamma.
Oh this also reminds me of when I was little, my older sister painted my whole face with fingernail polish. I still remember my parents scrubbing my face, and still going to church with clown cheeks and a red clown nose. Owe-chi mamma.
