My Old Stomping Ground...Lake Mills

We spent the weekend at my Grandma Marge's house in Fort Atkinson and I took the opportunity to drive my children around the town I spent part of my growing up years in...Lake Mills.  We drove out to Aztalan State Park to see the Indian mounds and forts.  I frequented this place as a child during the summer for picnics and exploring as well as during the winter for awesome sledding!!

I drove past a few homes of childhood friends, showed the kids where I attended elementary school & the houses I lived in.  I went past the church building where I was the first person to be baptized in the building when it was new.  And it wouldn't have been a complete experience if I didn't show them Bartles & Sandy beaches.  It was a very windy & stormy day, but we were able to enjoy ourselves.
