Baseball Practice

Here is our little slugger in action! Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, Luke has baseball practice. We love going to watch and the boys have really come a long way from the first practice...and I mean a long way! At the first practice, 5 weeks ago, the boys were throwing the ball like mad men what ever direction. Not many of the boys could hit the ball off the tee and all of them played in the dirt whenever they got sidetracked, which was often.

Now that the season is half over, the boys on Luke's team are doing much better. For the most part they can all throw in a straight line, to the base their coach calls out. They have a pretty good handle on how the game is played and some of them have emerged with pretty impressive batting skills. It's almost like the pros....it only takes 1 good hit, right???

Anyway, we have had a great time playing and Luke's team, the Cubs, is really good. Our team really has some outstanding players, and IF they were keeping score, we'd have won all our games so far! Go Cubs!
