Some Great News!

2 years ago, my external hard drive crashed.  The drive contained all my photography and a lot of it wasn't back up (don't ask me why...i just didn't do it).  I cried and cried for a few months about it and then finally ended up paying a lot of $$ to have the info recovered.  Needless to say, and some may remember that I was unable to get a lot of it back.  So I moved on and decided not to mourn what was lost, but to do a better job of backing up my photos in the future.

Well today I was organizing my itunes folders (which was way, way overdue) and I came across a random file that said photography.  I thought, "hmmm, what could it be"  I opened it up and it was a bunch of photos from 2008 that I've been missing and thought were gone forever!!  The kids and I had a lot of fun looking at them this evening...memories, you gotta love them!

I am ecstatic!

I want to kiss someone, I'm so happy!

I would kiss you if you were here!

Happiness is awesome!

I absolutely love this photo of Luke & Emry!  My favorite part of this photo is that you can see their personalities in the way they are walking.  Luke is straight laced, looking ahead...and Emry is a bit crazy with her cocked hips, bent arm and her face looking down at how her toes are looking in the sand.  Still true today!!  love it!

who can resist those chubby cheeks and droopy eyes??!!!

Luke and Emry look so little in those photos! It's fun to look back and feel all squishy happy inside at the loveliness of your own children. Very happy for you that you discovered the pics. I know how sad you were at their loss. Sorry I missed your phone call too!!

Awesome! And a great reminder to the rest of us to prepare too. I think a lot of our photos are on our computer that has seen better days. It still has some days left (I hope), but we should get on backing things up! Those are some great photos you found.

Well, Hello!!! Of course I remember you! Matt and I have often wondered what happened to you! I'm so glad that you happened upon my much neglected blog! I requested you over on facebook if you want to keep up with our everyday ridiculousness.

I just HAVE to back up our photos, too. Our iMac crashed last year, after it overheated from the fan breaking. Thankfully our neighbor worked his magic and got our pictures back. I just just burn some discs. I'll add that to my new years resolutions.

Really cute to see your kids so little again. Time really does fly...

OK Cat lovers of the world explain this....we're going on vacation and wanted to board our cat, but they wouldn't take her unles...
