Random happenings...

This time of year is always hectic so I haven't been blogging much.  We've been keeping ourselves very busy.  I thought I'd just run through the list of our current activities...

  • Luke's been playing basketball
  • The kids finished swimming lessons
  • All my Christmas projects, shopping, cards and gifts are finished, mailed and wrapped.
  •  Emry lost her 1st tooth!  She didn't want to pull it out the traditional way, she even started crying about it, she was so upset.  She wanted to tie a string to it and let something heavy drop to pull it out.  So we had 3 failed attempts, but on the 4th we were successful and out it popped!  Luke got the whole thing on video, her facial expression was priceless.
  • We've tried a few times to skype with Trent, but it never works right.  We never get a good enough connection that we can actually see him, but still we try!
  • We are really missing Trent.  This time of year makes it especially hard for him to be gone.
  • The kids got their report cards from school, very satisfactory grades!!!
  • Emry is really improving her reading skills.
  • Luke is learning to memorize his multiplication facts and can now write in cursive!
  • Carley is learning her alphabet and numbers.  She loves to watch Super Why and help me out in the kitchen.
  • Luke & Emry sang in their school Christmas concert.  It was really fun to watch.
  • We had a family night at the movie theater in town.  Grandpa May & Luke saw the latest Narnia movie, Prince Caspian and Grandma May, myself, Emry & Carley saw Tangled.  It's always fun to take little girls to princess movies...they were in heaven!
  • Oh, and we decorated the house for Christmas!!
Luke made this biodegradable bird feeder at cub scouts!
