A Cure for the Boredom Blues

Today we had a severe case of the boredom blues. The kids were tired of walks, movies, jumping on the tramp, picking fruit, hitting rotten fruit with the baseball bat, toys, coloring, puzzles, swimming.....you name it. They just were just bored. The day was going down as the most boring day of the entire summer, and then the light bulb went off and the watercolors came out! I don't think I saw them for about an hour and a half. They had so much fun! In fact, they used up all the paper and just kept on painting.....

I found Luke frozen in this position and my curiosity got the best of me,
so I asked him what he was doing and if he was ok.
He just lifted his head and stated matter of factly,
"I'm playing dead" and then put his head back down.
Silly me I thought, I obviously should have figured that one out on my own.
