Feria Season -Rota

Feria is the biggest festival, carnival type party that Southern Spain has.  Almost every town has one.  Some are classier than others, but basically it's a huge excuse to stay out late, parade around in fancy dresses, eat, dance, sing and consume beverages of all natures.

So of course, being the great adventurers that we like to think we are...off we went.  A large group from Trent's work were going so we tagged along.  Little did I know that I was going to be ambushed when I arrived!  All the ladies were dressing up.  They'd gotten together hours before hand to do nails, make up and hair...ok, you know this is not my bag...so I was ambushed and I totally caved to the peer pressure.  So this is the dress they had for me to wear, luckily it fit (literally like a glove, I could barely breath)!

After a few tapas, we walked to the Feria grounds.

Paella, a typical Spanish dish, traditionally made by men over an open flame out of doors.
They are not all made the same, but when it's good...it is goooood!

We had a blast on the rides, but they are definitely ride at your own risk type of rides!

This ride that Luke went on was crazy!! It went so high and super fast.  He absolutely loved it and went on it 4 times.

A little Feria nightlife!
