The kids have been pumped for this trip since Trent & I got back from England last month. They were excellent travelers! I had to laugh because on our drive to the airport we'd asked them what they were most excited for, and they answered: a ride on the big red busses! We both laughed. It's good to know we can make their wildest dreams come true on this trip!
The kids' first train ride.
We saw this taxi on the way to our hotel, the kids were super jazzed about it.
The iconic telephone booths.
The British Museum
The Rosetta Stone
Scary...
Ramesses II
The mummies (this was the kids' favorite part)
The Japanese samurai warrior suit. The Asian section was beautiful and varied. We just missed an exhibit of a traditional tea ceremony which was a bummer, but the ladies, dressed in kimono talked to the girls. They were intrigued by the lights that glowed on their shoes. Everyone was, the girls kept drawing attention when people would notice their shoes, it was funny.
The kids loved the tube.
We made a special stop on Abbey road for our little Beatles lover!
We tried to organize "the walk" but the girls just didn't catch the vision!
We took a little ride in a taxi. The kids had perm-a-grins the entire ride!
We told Luke he could go in the store and pick out something special to take home. We assumed he'd pick a t-shirt or something similar. After 45 minutes in the store that was floor to ceiling beatles paraphernalia he chose a key chain! We were surprised, maybe it was just too overwhelming, but hey, he loves that yellow submarine key chain.
