Weekend Road Trip, Stop #2 Night Walk & Flamanco Show

After checking into our hotel in Granada, we ate dinner at an Irish pub and then headed out for a guided night walk through the Albacin ending at the gypsy caves to see a flamenco show.  What a treat!  The boys didn't like it so much, but my mom and I thought it was great!

This is a typical balcony.  Everyone uses these decorated pots to plant flowers or herbs.  They make the towns around here so beautiful and charming.

We stopped at a plaza that had a wonderful view of the Alhambra all lit up!

Finally, we made it the caves which were very unique and waited for our show to begin.

On to the show...

Weekend Road Trip, Stop #1 lunch in Rhonda

My parents really wanted to see the Alhambra and I really wanted them to see Rhonda, so we planned one final road trip before they head back to the states.  This time we made arrangements for the kids to stay with friends for the weekend and we were off.

It rained most of the day, so the colors in the landscape driving to Rhonda were very vibrant, lush and really magnificent.  We stopped at one point so we could take a few photos and just marvel at the beauty of the olive groves.

It was still raining when we arrived in Rhonda, but we didn't let it slow us down.

My dad loved the Roman bridge.  It is pretty impressive!

**the bad news is, our favorite little antique store closed it's doors forever.  the good news is, our favorite 2 pottery stores are still open for business.

The Cronicles of Tapa...the cat.
