Pompeii Ruins

We got up early and set off for Pompeii...again.  We took our time and wandered the streets.  It felt good to be there again and especially to take my kids and parents.  My dad was like a small child taking pictures of every rock and brick with a smile a mile wide on his face.

I was just amazed on this return trip of the sophistication of the society here.  The Romans were so advanced I can't help but wonder what it must have been like to walk down these streets during the hustle and bustle of busy season.

Everyone took turns talking in the ampitheater

Luke's serving up some lunch at a local eatery.

The food shops had granite counters.

The body casts are always sobering to see.  They are so interesting to look at close up, amazing.

Emry was worried about Vesuvius erupting during our visit.  We tried to explain...
