TUESDAY: I wanted to revisit the alphabet (mostly for Emry's sake). So we decided to arm ourselves with cameras, paper, pencils and a bag for found treasure and take a walk around our neighborhood. Off we went, discussing the things around us and enjoying the sunshine. It took a little prodding on my part to get the ball rolling, but they caught on pretty quickly.
WEDNESDAY: We went through all the photos we took and decided which ones we wanted to have included in our "most awesomest book yet". Then that night while the kids were in bed I arranged the pages in photoshop and printed everything out.

that is a great idea-your very own alphabet book! i might have to that-if i can find the time. i think i've seen and heard a lot about some of your books. alissa showed me a quiet book she made and i think she got the idea from you-i'm not positive though. it was very cute. you guys are very creative!
So cute. I did this a couple years ago, but the kids were too young to help. This is such a good idea to get them involved. I love to see you mommy school projects!
You May girls sure can take good pictures. Nice job.
Millie - The book looks awesome! When is Hugo's copy arriving in the mail??
What do the covers look like?
You are so lucky to have the big C commenting on your blog...
Thanks you guys! I let the kids just draw on the covers with markers, they're just random, decorate at your own risk type of covers, fun! Ali, if you're serious I could email you the pics or you could go crazy your self...email me.
I need a better picture of Lucas' hair... I did a double take. Is he modeling himself after the surfer dudes? Perhaps we should resurrect the nickname "orangutan". :o)
for better hair photos, check out the giant bowl+water=fun post!! it's not that long anymore, trent just cut it.
that is such a great idea. i don't know how you find the time to do such fun projects with a baby around, but you do. amazing. you just might inspire me to do the same thing. i love that you didn't go with the normal "yak" or "yawn" for the letter y...."yell" classic. the pictures you've taken lately are wonderful too.
How didn't I know you made books?? I remember you mentioning a quiet book once upon a time. This is a cool idea. My kids love to see pictures we take. I feel an A-Z farm book coming on. :)
Ooops! I guess I was signed in under Pat's account when I left my last comment!! Too funny. I do that sometimes on our Neo site, too!!
