Project #1
My craft room/office/kid free zone
It all started a few months ago when I read Amanda Blake Soule's book.

It is fabulous, you can find out more about Amanda here. I fell immediately in love and just felt inspired to get to work with my own family.
I love to do arts & crafts type of stuff, but felt hindered b/c I didn't have a space to do it in. With kids running around all the time it's tough to enjoy a project that you have to constantly be getting out and putting away during naps and bedtime. So after some consideration and a talk with Trent, we decided to move all our food and small cooking appliances out of the laundry/pantry room and into the garage to make room for me!
I couldn't have wrapped this project up without the help of Maggie, she helped me with the finishing touches, wrangled my kids and gave me moral support when my brain was fried! (she's also a cleaning slave driver...she gave me permission to say that btw)
So without further adieu....here it is, the big reveal...hope you like it as much as I do!!!

oh......I love love love love love love love love love your space! You are seriously gifted. I love your patterns and colors and just everything is so well put together. I always thought you had such great style!
Millie!
I love your craft room!! It looks so well thought out and everything has its place. I really like the puffy pink things hanging from above. How are doing the wall folder system? Where did you find all the little boxes and containers? Where are your markers and fabric? I need some serious help planning out my craft room. I also need some humidity free days so the paint will dry! And I could really, really use some Maggie time to whip me into housecleaning, organizing frenzy! Love you Maggie! Great job on the craft room and it's about time you shared! thanks
- hey, have you taken a gander at my auction?
first, i'm jealous that you have a "place" to call your own. second, i'm amazed you could turn any space in those crazy houses into workable, mommy space. well done. it's darling.
What a great craft room. You deserve your own little space!! Everything looks so adorable in your new room.
Okay. Get your butt over here and decorate my house. I will watch your kids...forever...if you can make my place look that good! :) And I love the new pictures of the kids. When are you going to take our family pics??? We NEED you!
great room! it's so nice that you can have your own space. now don't feel obligated to get lots of crafting done! he-he!!
I'm so glad you all like my room! I didn't end up spending very much money on it. The only things that are new are the shelves and hanging files. Everything else was found around the house and I repurposed (sp?) it. The cute canisters and boxes are just old formula cans and shoe boxes recovered with pretty paper. The boxes on top of the shelf I picked up at Michaels for $2 each, they're photo boxes....good luck Ali!
Ok Martha! This looks like it took some seriuos work. How adorable!!!
Awesome space, Millie! It looks very you. Although I don't "craft" I would like a "gift wrapping center" (if you will) in our new house. Great job-seems quite ambitious!!
So cute!!! You are so great!! And I love Emry's hair!!! =) It looks great!
