The camp ground was really nice and had tons of shade, so we were able to have a great time even though Vernal is so hot this time of year. Carley was happy the entire trip, and we let Luke and Emry stay up way too late every night, so of course they were exhausted, but happy! We went to Dinosaur Land, the Utah Natural History Museum, and Steinaker Reservoir. We played with cousins, played at the park, went fishing, went swimming, had a family Olympics (Go Rockets!), had a wonderful family devotional, ate Grandpa Kay's yummy dutch oven roast beef, talked, played games, talked, about half our group was able to attend the temple the other half stayed at the camp ground to tend kids and pack up, and some of the ladies even found the energy to run out to the midnight book release party for a certain vampire series!
I'm still waiting on a few photos from various family members, so when I get them I'll add them to this post......to be continued...

Vernal, Utah? I have many memories in Vernal, Utah. My dad was born and raised there right on Main Street. His parents ran a grocery store there. My dad went to Stake Conferences at the temple, and every year we went to the Dinosaur Museums.
Ephraim has never been to Vernal! I really need to take him over there. We don't have family there anymore, so I haven't had an excuse to take him. Maybe next summer...It sounds like you guys had a great time though.
Glad you had a fantastic vacation with the fam Pea Pod!
Love, love, love
I'm glad that you got the kids to see the dinos, I hope they enjoyed that part. Have Luke make me some pics. Glad you had a good time and got away for awhile.
Those pictures you posted of Vernal look awesome. My dad just went to Vernal last week for a class reunion, and he said his old classmate and his boyfriend have decorated the whole city with gorgeous flowers. He said he has never seen Vernal looking so beautiful. I also wanted to add that I was born in Vernal. My parents lived in Flaming Gorge at the time, and Vernal was the closest hospital. I can't wait to see your pictures.
Yay, your back! Glad you had a nice family vacation, sounds like there was a lot to do, and lot of hanging out. That's our favorite part of camping-just chillaxin' with the fam and friends.
